Businesses increasingly looking overseas for staff

Permanent staff numbers are on the increase and the pool of local talent appears to be drying up as organisations battle to attract and retain skilled staff in a tight labour market, according to the recently released findings of the 2012 Australian Institute of Management National Salary Survey.

According to the 2012 Survey, difficulties are most commonly being found recruiting at the Professional/Technical job level and for Technical & Trade, Sales & Marketing and Construction & Engineering job functions, across a broad range of industries.
